Soccer star Aminata Diallo arrested for allegedly orchestrating attack on PSG teammate Kheira Hamraoui.
Soccer may have its own version of Tonya Harding.
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Aminata Diallo was arrested for her connection to an attack on teammate Kheira Hamraoui, L’Equipe reported Wednesday morning.
After a team outing in Paris on Nov. 4, which both Diallo and Hamraoui attended, two masked men pulled Hamraoui out of her car and attacked her legs with an iron bar.
According to the paper, the motive was for Diallo to get more playing time. Hamraoui was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries to her hands and legs and would miss PSG’s 4-0 win over Real Madrid on Tuesday.

“Since Thursday evening November 4, the Club has taken all the necessary measures to guarantee the health, well-being and safety of its players.
Paris Saint-Germain is working with the Versailles SRPJ to shed light on the facts. The Club is attentive to the progress of the procedure and will study the follow-up to be given to it.”
The incident brings to mind Harding allegedly being behind an attack that injured figure skating rival Nancy Kerrigan before the 1994 Winter Olympics.
