How Can I Play Recorded Video on Cctv?

There are a few ways that you can playback recorded video on your CCTV system. Most DVRs and NVRs will have a HDMI port that you can connect to a monitor or TV. This will allow you to playback your recordings in HD quality.

You can also use the VGA port to connect to a monitor or TV, but this will give you a lower quality picture. If you want to view your recordings on your computer, you will need to install the CMS software that came with your system. Once installed, you can login to the CMS and playback your video footage.

If you have a CCTV system at your home or business, you may be wondering if there is a way to play the recordings on your PC. Luckily, there is! With the right software, you can view and playback your CCTV footage on your computer.

Here’s how: First, you’ll need to install CCTV playback software on your PC. We recommend the free VLC media player, which can be downloaded from www.videolan.org.

Once installed, open the software and click on the “Open Network Stream” icon in the toolbar (it looks like a TV with an antenna). In the window that opens up, enter the IP address of your DVR or NVR (this can be found in your DVR’s menu). Next, enter the port number for playback (the default is554), and select “RTP/RTSP” as the protocol.

Finally, click “Play”. You should now see live video from your CCTV cameras! To playback recorded footage, simply use the controls in VLC to fast forward or rewind as needed.
